Who is MOPS? MOPS, Mothers of Preschoolers, is an internationally recognized non-profit organization. MOPS exists to meet the needs of moms of all ages or backgrounds. We recognize that the years between infancy and five years old are formative years in a child’s life and the needs that arise during this time can sometimes be overwhelming. What can MOPS do for me? MOPS empowers women in their everyday life as stay-at-home moms, working moms, single moms, wives, and Christian women by offering inspiration and helpful resources to its members. Brownsville MOPS has reached dozens of women in the surrounding communities through teaching and instruction, mentoring and support, and building of leadership skills. Women have the opportunity to socialize and interact with other moms and share ideas or express concerns related to child-rearing in a fun and stress-free environment. If you seek answers to your questions, or simply want to meet other moms, MOPS is for you. Can I take my kids to the meetings? We lovingly call them MOPPETS and yes, we have loving and efficient daycare workers who will take care of kids from 0 - 5 years old. Just drop them off in the daycare rooms at 9:00 am before each meeting. |

Why join
Brownsville MOPS?Being far from home and family and friends, I was mentally breaking down. Then I joined MOPS and got to know some of the
wonderful ladies there and formed some great friendships---it saved me. MOPS has helped me to become a better mother,
wife and child of God. Anita W., Brownsville MOPS
MOPS has been the best way for new moms to find friends with things in common. Liz E., Brownsville MOPS
Our kids are a blessing, but Mops gets me together with other moms and we can laugh and get great advice when it comes to the hard times, and we get them a lot. All the ladies have been a blessing and an inspiration Anna D., Brownsville MOPS I have made some great friends and received many great tips on helping me manage my home a lot more smoothly. MOPS has also taught me how to include my faith in everyday things. Stella H., Brownsville MOPS MOPS has been an amazing experience for me. I moved here from Virginia, leaving all my family and friends back there. MOPS provided such a great opportunity for me to connect with other moms. I have so much in common with the other ladies at MOPS,and I now have a network of people that I love down here. The time I have spent at MOPS and the friendships I have formed here have really made living far away from my family so much easier. Jenny G., Brownsville MOPS |
